The Merry Month of May

May month is the stepping stone
into Summer from the Spring.
Covering trees with fragrant blossom
and feathered friends are on the wing.

Time to hang up overcoat and scarf
get outside now and explore.
There is a wealth of interest there
Lying right outside your front door.

Butterflies look as if they are dancing
to the humming of the bumble bees.
The birds are all singing their dawn
chorus that wafts on the sweet perfumed breeze .
